The Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.2 3rd Anniversary update has officially arrived, and the Break support character Dahlia (Constance) is making her rerun appearance! This limited 5-star character, who first debuted in Version 3.8, took the Break meta by storm with her revolutionary “Non-Weakness Broken Super Break” mechanic. The rerun banner is open until May 13, 2026—Trailblazers who haven’t pulled her yet, seize the opportunity!
Dahlia’s core breakthrough lies in her Skill Zone: traditional Super Break damage requires the enemy’s Toughness to be zero to trigger, but Dahlia allows the team to deal Super Break damage directly even when the enemy’s Weakness hasn’t been broken yet! This significantly improves the output efficiency of Break DPS characters like Firefly, completely filling the “Toughness recovery downtime” weakness that Break teams have long faced. This guide integrates skills, Relics, Light Cones, team comps, and Eidolons to help you quickly master the best build for Dahlia.

| Attribute | Content |
|---|---|
| Full Name | Dahlia (Constance) |
| Rarity | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-Star Limited |
| Element | Fire |
| Path | Nihility |
| Role | Break-Specific Support |
| Debut Version | 3.8 “Memory is the Prologue of Dreams” (Dec 2025) |
| 4.2 Rerun Time | April 21 ~ May 13 (Rerunning with Firefly) |
Dahlia’s core mechanism revolves around two main elements: Zone and Dance Partner.
Dahlia’s Skill activates a Zone that lasts for 3 turns, with two key effects: ① The team’s Weakness Break Efficiency is increased by 50%, significantly speeding up Weakness Breaking; ② Most importantly—Toughness Reduction dealt to enemies “not in the Weakness Broken state” is also converted into Super Break damage! Traditional Break teams only trigger Super Break after a Weakness Break; Dahlia makes every Toughness-reducing attack count towards Super Break damage, maximizing the sustained output of the entire Break system.
Upon entering battle, Dahlia chooses an ally to be her “Dance Partner” (prioritizing the character with the highest Break Effect, usually Firefly). When the Dance Partner attacks an enemy, Dahlia automatically launches 5 follow-up attacks, each dealing Fire DMG equal to 30% of her ATK. If hitting a Weakness Broken target, it triggers an additional 200% Super Break DMG (max once per turn). Dahlia’s Ultimate can even apply the Dance Partner’s elemental Weakness to enemies, allowing non-matching elemental characters to trigger Weakness Breaks quickly!
Deals Fire DMG equal to 100% of ATK to a single enemy, with a Toughness Reduction of 10. Basic ATK is not used frequently in Dahlia’s combat rotation, mainly for energy transition.
Activates a Zone for 3 turns, dealing Fire DMG equal to 160% of ATK to a single enemy and adjacent targets. Zone effects: ① All allies’ Weakness Break Efficiency +50%; ② When enemies are not broken, Toughness Reduction received is converted into Super Break DMG. Maintaining 100% Zone coverage is Dahlia’s most important task!

Inflicts the [Withered] state on all enemies for 4 turns, while dealing Fire DMG equal to 300% of ATK (distributed among all enemies). [Withered] state: ① Enemy DEF is reduced by 18%; ② Enemies are applied with Weaknesses of all Dance Partner’s elements (greatly accelerating Weakness Breaking). DEF reduction is a vital buff for BOSS battles; try to cast it when high-DEF BOSSes appear.

Regenerates 35 Energy upon entering battle and designates an ally (highest Break Effect priority) as the “Dance Partner.” When the Dance Partner attacks, Dahlia launches a follow-up attack with 5 hits, each dealing 30% ATK Fire DMG. Hitting a Weakness Broken target converts an additional 200% Super Break DMG (max once per turn). When the Dance Partner attacks a Weakness Broken target, they also convert Toughness Reduction into 60% Super Break DMG.

Creates a special dimension for 20 seconds; enemies within do not attack. Upon entering battle, automatically triggers the Skill Zone and converts 60% Super Break DMG against Weakness Broken enemies. The Technique saves a Skill Point in the first turn, allowing the team to enter the full-power Zone state immediately!
Upon entering battle, increases other characters’ Break Effect by an amount equal to “24% × Dahlia’s Break Effect + 50%” for 1 turn. When Dahlia receives healing or a shield, this effect is re-triggered for 3 turns (max once per turn). This is Dahlia’s most core buff for the Break team, and why the team must include a healer or shielder—every instance of healing/shielding resets the buff duration, making the Break Effect share nearly permanent. The higher Dahlia’s own Break Effect, the larger the value shared, which is why Break Effect is the top priority for the Link Rope main stat.
After launching a Talent follow-up attack, regenerates 1 Skill Point for every 2 triggers. Dahlia triggers follow-up attacks frequently (5 hits every time the Dance Partner attacks). This Trace continuously replenishes Skill Points, making the overall skill rotation smoother, especially valuable for high-speed Break teams.
When an ally adds a Weakness to an enemy, their SPD increases by 30% for 2 turns. If a Fire character triggers this, they additionally regenerate Energy equal to 10% of their Max Energy (up to 50%). Dahlia’s Ultimate adds Weaknesses to all enemies, triggering this Trace massively to accelerate the team’s action efficiency, allowing core characters like Firefly to enter the next cycle faster.
| Rank | Light Cone Name | Key Effects |
|---|---|---|
| ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best | Never Forget Her Flame (Signature) | +60% Break Effect; Wearer and Dance Partner gain 32% Break DMG; Regenerates 1 SP when adding a Weakness |
| ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Alternative | Lies in the Wind | High-speed attacks trigger follow-up DMG, improving Dahlia’s own output efficiency |
| ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Alternative | Long Road Has a Return (Fugue’s) | “Burn” effect is stackable and not restricted by the same cone; multiple copies can be used |
| ⭐⭐⭐ Substitute | Incessant Rain | Increases Nihility Effect Hit Rate, ensuring stable [Withered] state triggers |
| ⭐⭐⭐ Substitute | Resolution Shines As Pearls of Sweat | Note: Only 1 copy of the same cone is effective in the same team |
| ⭐⭐ Transition | Those Many Springs / Solitary Healing / Fermata | General Nihility Light Cones; minor differences |

The Break DMG bonus provided by the signature Light Cone “Never Forget Her Flame” is very rare—Break DMG does not benefit from standard DMG boosts, and only a few specific effects can increase it, so this buff is rarely diluted. Even if you already have Fugue’s Light Cone, Dahlia’s signature still offers a significant upgrade; it’s recommended for players deeply invested in the Break meta.
| Set Type | Set Name | Rank | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Relic (4-Pc) | Iron Cavalry Against the Scourge | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best | Increases own Break Effect and Super Break DMG output; the only recommended choice |
| Relic (4-Pc) | Eagle of Twilight Line | ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Alternative | Used for high-speed builds to increase Ultimate coverage or follow-up frequency |
| Planar Ornament | Forge of the Kalpagni Lantern | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best | Provides both SPD and Break Effect bonuses; Dahlia’s best Planar Ornament |
| Planar Ornament | Lusaka’s Pavane of Impermanence | ⭐⭐⭐ Substitute | Consider if focusing more on supporting Firefly |
| Part | Main Stat | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Body | HP% or ATK% | Dahlia’s own output is not a priority; survivability is more important |
| Feet | SPD | Higher SPD means more frequent actions and better Zone coverage |
| Planar Sphere | HP% or ATK% | Same as Body; prioritize survivability |
| Link Rope | Break Effect (Most Important) | Higher Break Effect means more value shared with teammates |
Sub-stat Priority: Break Effect >>> SPD > Effect Hit Rate > Others. The goal is to stack Dahlia’s Break Effect to over 250% (to activate the full Iron Cavalry set bonus) while maintaining enough SPD for frequent actions. Effect Hit Rate is secondary, ensuring the [Withered] state from the Ultimate reliably hits BOSSes.

| Eidolon | Name | Effect | Evaluation |
|---|---|---|---|
| E1 | When a Flower is in Bud | Talent’s Super Break multiplier applies to all allies; Dance Partner’s attack deals extra fixed Toughness Reduction (25% of target’s max, 10-300) | 🔥 Key Eidolon, best value |
| E2 | Newborn, Fresh, Pity | Reduces all-Type RES of enemies by 20% while Dahlia is on field; enemies enter [Withered] for 3 turns upon appearing | ✨ Strong, essential for Pure Fiction |
| E3 | Alas, Petals Thin as Cicada Wings | Ultimate Lv. +2; Basic ATK Lv. +1 | Skill levels, moderate benefit |
| E4 | Alas, Pistils Eroded by Insects | Talent follow-up hits +5; each hit increases target’s DMG received by 12% (2 turns) | ✨ Massive follow-up increase, significant DMG |
| E5 | Falling, Rotting, Hating | Skill Lv. +2; Talent Lv. +2 | Skill levels, indirect DMG boost |
| E6 | Yet It Is Always, Fatally Beautiful | Dance Partner’s Break Effect +150%; follow-up attack advances all Dance Partners’ next action by 20% | 💎 Ceiling, qualitative leap |
Dahlia is fully functional at E0 and does not require Eidolons to be effective. If investing further, E1 is the best value choice: it extends the Super Break benefit to all teammates and adds fixed Toughness Reduction for the Dance Partner, offering a significant advantage against multi-bar BOSSes. Recommended path: E0+S1 > E1+S1 > E2+S1.

| Position | Character | Role | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main DPS | Firefly | Break DPS Core | Dance Partner, triggers Dahlia’s follow-up chain |
| Support | Dahlia | Break Support | Provides Zone, Dance Partner follow-ups, Break Effect sharing |
| Healer/Shielder | Pompey / Fugue / Lingsha | Survival + Buffs | Necessary to trigger the “Another Funeral” Trace effect |
| Support | March 7th (Hunt) / Boothill | SPD or Break Support | Provides SPD buffs or additional Break benefits |
| Position | Character | Role |
|---|---|---|
| Main DPS | Rappa | Break DPS Core |
| Support | Dahlia | Break Support |
| Support | Boothill | Toughness Reduction Support |
| Support/Healer | Lingsha / Pompey | SPD Support and Healing |
⚠️ Important: A healer or shielder must be included in the team to continuously trigger Dahlia’s “Another Funeral” Trace (3-turn Break Effect share). Without this, Dahlia’s utility is significantly diminished. While Dahlia works with Rappa and Boothill, the improvement is most dramatic when paired with Firefly.

More Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.2 3rd Anniversary Guides:
Dahlia is the final core piece of the Break meta. Her most revolutionary aspect isn’t just raising the DMG ceiling, but giving the Break team the “sustained stable output” it previously lacked—even if the enemy’s Toughness isn’t broken, the team can continuously deal Super Break damage instead of just bursting for a moment.
✅ Highly Recommended: For Trailblazers who own Firefly (especially E2+) or are serious about the Break system. With Dahlia, the Firefly team’s output is transformed, making any Break-reliant content much easier.
👍 Recommended: For players with E0 Firefly looking to upgrade her team, or those whose Fugue is busy in other teams and need an independent Break support.
⚠️ Consider Carefully: For Trailblazers without Firefly. While Dahlia buffs Rappa and Boothill, she cannot fully utilize the Dance Partner chain mechanism with them, resulting in a more limited boost.
Dahlia arrives at the end of Version 4.2, and with HSR’s power creep, new Break characters may appear in future versions. If Stellar Jades are limited, you can wait for more news. We hope this guide helps you make the best choice before the banner ends on May 13, 2026!
