Scoring Criteria Explanation

This tier list is based on a character’s comprehensive performance in core high-difficulty challenges, considering the following dimensions:

Damage: Burst potential as a Main or Sub-DPS; Team Synergy: Versatility in mainstream team comps; Tower of Adversity (ToA) Performance: Effectiveness in high-difficulty endgame content; Whimpering Wastes (WhiWa) Performance: Stability in multi-layered rotating challenges. The list is divided into SS, S, A, and B tiers, based on S0 (0 Resonance Chain).

⭐ SS Tier: Meta Peak, Top Priority

SS Tier characters are the strongest in the current version, providing stable output or decisive buffs in any high-difficulty content. If you have these characters, prioritize investing resources in them.

🆕 Hiyuki — The Strongest Glacio Main DPS in 3.3

Hiyuki is the flagship character of Version 3.3 and one of the highest-performing Broadblade Main DPS in Wuthering Waves history. Her core mechanic revolves around Dual-Form Switching—accumulating “Pre-desire” in her “Mundane Form” before switching to “Desired Form” for burst damage, while stacking “Severe Frost” to enhance Glacio damage.

Hiyuki combines excellent design, a high skill ceiling, and top-tier damage, making her the best long-term investment in 3.3. Best Team: Hiyuki + Chisa + Mornye; Alternative: Hiyuki + Denia + Mornye. Pull Advice: Highly Recommended. Whether you are a new or veteran player, Hiyuki is the must-have character of this version.

Shorekeeper — Universal Healer, Team Core

Shorekeeper remains the highest-rated healer in Wuthering Waves, sitting at the top of the SS tier for ToA (Score: 36). She provides healing, DMG buffs, interruption resistance, and Concerto energy accumulation. She fits into almost any mainstream team. At S1, she provides an additional 40% DMG buff, making her the strongest support in the game.

Aemeath — Concerto System Core DPS

Since her debut in 3.0, Aemeath has held her SS rank as the core Main DPS of the Concerto system. She maintains T0/T0.5 status in both ToA and WhiWa. With the arrival of Denia in 3.3, the Concerto system has been significantly buffed, further solidifying Aemeath’s position. Best 3.3 Team: Aemeath + Denia + Mornye.

Other SS Tier Characters

In addition to the three above, the SS tier includes:

Camellya: Havoc Main DPS known for high mobility and burst. Paired with Lupa in a Fusion-Havoc hybrid, her Echo requirements are lower, making her more accessible.

Cartethyia: The premier Aero Main DPS since 3.1, completely outclassing older Aero units like Jiyan.

Chisa: Hiyuki’s best partner, providing efficient Concerto support and burst buffs. She scores a perfect 10 in ToA Team Up ratings.

Lynae: A core support for the Concerto system, essential for several SS-tier teams due to her unique status effects.

Mornye: The first all-around healer from 3.0, providing DMG buffs, healing, and interruption resistance. A universal choice for most teams.

Sigrika: Jumped to SS tier in 3.2 with the introduction of Echo Skill DMG bonus mechanics. An Aero Main DPS with a simple yet effective playstyle.

⭐ S Tier: Strong and Worth Investing

S Tier characters perform exceptionally well in specific teams or environments. They are strong alternatives to SS Tier units.

🆕 Denia — The Savior of the Concerto System

Denia is the Phase 2 limited 5-star in Version 3.3, recognized as the final piece of the Aemeath Concerto puzzle. Her skills significantly boost Concerto DMG and she serves as an excellent transitional support for Hiyuki. Pull Advice: Highly Recommended (especially for Aemeath owners).

S Tier Character Overview

Jinhsi: Spectro Main DPS with massive burst. Remains one of the strongest Spectro units, especially when paired with Zhezhi.

Changli: Fusion Main DPS with high mobility. While slightly overshadowed in 3.x, she remains a heavyweight in the S tier.

Carlotta: Glacio Main DPS. Easier to play than Hiyuki, making her a great alternative for newer players.

Verina: A reliable healer from early versions. While surpassed by Shorekeeper and Mornye, she is still a solid choice.

Zhezhi: Spectro Support and the best partner for Jinhsi, providing strong Spectro DMG buffs.

Ciaccona: Havoc Support essential for Camellya teams, providing stable Concerto energy.

Zani, Brant: Viable DPS options that perform well in specific team compositions.

⭐ A Tier: Situational and Cost-Effective

A Tier characters are practical choices for players with limited resources or those using early-game units.

Sanhua: Glacio Support. Often underrated, but shines in Carlotta and Hiyuki teams. Encore: Fusion Main DPS with stable output. Xiangli Yao: Electro Main DPS, though his presence has declined in the current meta. Jiyan: Former Aero king, still usable with Shorekeeper. Danjin: High-skill Havoc DPS. Lupa: Core Sub-DPS for Fusion teams.

⭐ B Tier: Early Game Only

B Tier characters are mostly early-game staples or standard pool options. They should be replaced by SS/S Tier units as you progress. Includes: Verina (Standard), Baizhi, Yangyang, Yinlin, Chixia, Lingyang, and Taoqi.

Version 3.3 Pull Advice Summary

Wuthering Waves Hiyuki Character Profile
Hiyuki — The most worthy investment in Version 3.3 (Source: Kuro Games ©Kuro Games)

🥇 Priority 1: Hiyuki — The strongest Glacio DPS. She is the undisputed top target for 3.3.

🥈 Priority 2: Denia — High priority if you have Aemeath or plan to main Hiyuki. She lowers the team-building threshold significantly.

💡 F2P Tip: Utilize the 2nd Anniversary rewards to pull for Hiyuki. Even if you miss her, Denia is a fantastic consolation prize with high utility.

Editor’s Perspective

Version 3.3 is a massive milestone for Wuthering Waves. Hiyuki’s dual-form mechanic is a breath of fresh air for the Glacio element. The meta remains healthy; while Shorekeeper and Aemeath stay at the top, Hiyuki and Denia expand the possibilities rather than power-creeping everything. Good luck with your pulls on April 30!
