“Echoes from the End of the Starry Sea” centers on a grand interstellar narrative, telling the story of the Rover’s journey into the new region, the “Darkling Plain.” The version is divided into two phases, each lasting about three weeks, featuring two new 5-star limited Resonators: Hiyuki and Denia.

New Character ①: Hiyuki — Glacio Dual-Form Main DPS Debuts

Hiyuki is the new character for the first phase of version 3.3 and is the first Glacio Main DPS to be released in over a year since Calcharo. She features an elegant Japanese shrine maiden aesthetic and uses a Sword. Her standout feature is her dual-form switching mechanic—she can freely switch between Human form and Blade form, unleashing different skill combos for a highly engaging gameplay experience.

Hiyuki Core Mechanic: Frost-Gradation Effect

Hiyuki’s core mechanic revolves around the “Frost-Gradation Effect“—continuously accumulating Glacio energy during combat to unleash massive damage with iaido-style bursts. The form-switching is deeply integrated with the Frost-Gradation Effect, requiring players to master the correct timing to maximize output efficiency. Compared to other Main DPS characters, Hiyuki has a higher skill ceiling, allowing technical players to unlock her full potential.

Hiyuki’s strongest partner is the concurrently rerunning Chisaki, who provides significant buffs to Glacio damage. Future character “Rosella” is also expected to form a highly synergistic exclusive Glacio team with Hiyuki. Current recommended team: Hiyuki + Chisaki + Morning / Other Glacio Support.

New Character ②: Denia — Fusion Implosion Sub-DPS, Completing the Implosion Team

Denia is the new character for the second phase of version 3.3, positioned as a Fusion Sub-DPS using a Rectifier weapon. Her skills revolve around the “Implosion Effect,” allowing her to actively apply enhanced Implosion damage to teammates. She is considered the final piece of the Aemeath Implosion team. For Fusion DoT teams, Denia’s addition is a massive power boost.

Although Denia has not yet officially appeared in the main story, she has been mentioned in Morning’s voice lines. Her personality is vivid and cute—she loves auditing various lectures but always falls asleep, only to be revealed later that she was doing it for course credits. Her character design is full of drama and humor, and she is sure to gain a large fan base.

Denia Recommended Team

Denia’s strongest team is the “Implosion Trio”: Aemeath + Denia + Chisaki. The three fully activate the Implosion cycle, making it the top-tier Fusion DoT team. Another strong team: Changli + Denia + Support, which also offers incredible power in a Fusion team.

New Exploration Map: Roi Tundra – Darkling Plain

Version 3.3 adds a vast new exploration area, “Roi Tundra – Darkling Plain,” a mysterious northern icy region. The Darkling Plain is highly relevant to Hiyuki’s backstory, and players will uncover new plot mysteries on the frozen land and explore secrets hidden deep in the polar region. The new map brings a large number of treasure chests, hidden quests, and achievements, keeping exploration players busy!

New Movement Mechanic: Research Motorcycle Debuts!

Version 3.3 brings an exciting new movement mechanic—the Research Motorcycle! Players can ride the motorcycle across the vast tundra in the Darkling Plain map, significantly increasing exploration efficiency. This is the first time Wuthering Waves has introduced a ground vehicle concept.
